Beer is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world and the third most consumed beverage in the world after cocoa and tea. Beer as a foreign liquor was introduced into China in the early twentieth century. Nowadays, most of the international beer are added in auxiliary materials. In some countries, the total amount of supplementary raw materials are not more than 50% of the malt amount. In Germany, beer will not use auxiliary materials except for those used for export. In 2009, output of Asia beer is about 58.67 million liters, for the first time the output is beyond Europe, and become the world's largest beer production area.

At present in China, the Chinese spirits market remains in the doldrums, and wine growth is slow. Yet the Imported beer is showing a good momentum. Only for the first half of last year,  the imported beer in China is increasing by 111.5%. As a result of the rise of young consumer groups, the decrease of monopoly from beer importers ,lower prices for common people to buy and other reasons, imported beers are flooding into domestic market.

The statistic of "2014-2018 global draft beer industry forecast and investment risk research report" shows that since 2010, the number of domestic imported beer has increased by seven or eight times. During January to June in 2014, the imported beer doubled over the same period.

Some analysis also shows that the population of China consumer base is very large. Chinese always like drinking beer. China is the largest market for beer consumption in addition to Germany. In foreign countries, especially in the eyes of the Germans, beer has a profound liquor culture content, and they are generally divided into industrial mass production and handmade glass bottles of fine brewed, the latter type has lower output but the price is very high.

Although the Chinese people love to drink beer in the past, but their understanding of beer still stuck in the superficial idea of heat-clearing beverage. Therefore, domestic consumers have great demand for industrial production imported beer, which promote the imported beer in domestic market.
